The class and I are super excited for the Tritt-Mazing Race tomorrow. Our class raised a total of $3,482.30! That is AMAZING. As a class, we met 6 goals which means 6 rewards. Once again, thank you for your overwhelming support. I’m very fortunate to work with such wonderful students and such supportive parents.

Check your child’s backpack for what they made in Science Lab today. It is super cool, but also has the potential to be super messy if left in there. We are so fortunate to have our TTF-funded Science Lab teacher, Mr. Giunta, who teaches our Science standards in such fun, creative ways!
The class and I had a GREAT time at X-drenaline today. Many thanks to our chaperones who were a tremendous help making sure all of the students were supervised and taken care of. The students rotated through different hands-on STEM-based classes and also had jump/play time in the gym. Be sure to ask your child what they learned about pushes and pulls which ties into our Science standards, specifically force and motion. Your child is bringing home a white paper about the field trip that also has a coupon at the bottom.
Tomorrow is Walk to School Day. For detailed information, you may refer to my blog. We will go to the ILC tomorrow so your child will have the opportunity to check out new books if they’ve returned their other library books. Our class met their 5th goal for the Tritt-Mazing Race so now we have a 6th goal for our last Count Day! Thank you for your overwhelming support. We had our reward of a movie and lunch in the classroom today, and we will have our Double Recess tomorrow or Thursday, weather permitting. Next Tuesday is our Field Trip to X-drenaline. Your child needs to wear their maroon Kind is the New Cool shirt on Tuesday and for the Tritt_Mazing Race on Friday. Speaking of the Tritt-Mazing Race, we have met all 4 of our Tritt-Mazing Race goals in the first 2 Count Days! Thank you for your overwhelming support of our students. I wish you could have seen the kids when the announcement was made! They erupted in cheers! Our next Count Day is Monday. If 1/2 our class donates money (any amount) on Monday, our class will be entered into a drawing to win a Classroom Playground Pack filled with new playground equipment! The students and I are planning a 5th goal and the incentive for meeting this goal. We hope to see you next Friday for the
Tritt-Mazing Race from 12:15 - 1:00! From Mrs. Pascual: Greetings from the computer lab! Your second grader worked hard this past quarter to hone their drawing and animation skills. Using a digital resource about the sun, light, and shadow, students created a digital drawing to serve as a background for their animation showing the movement of the sun across the sky and the shadows cast by their drawn object. Check out the example by one of our amazing animators, I mean, second graders. Upon request, I will be happy to email your child’s directly to your inbox! Thank you for supporting the TTF!
