How can it already be the last week of 2nd Grade? We had a super FUN end of year party today. Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped make it a success, and special thanks to our awesome room mom, Abby Vetter, who has helped make this an amazing school year.
We also had Charlotte's Web Rotations today in 2nd Grade. Be sure to ask your child about the different activities in each classroom. For those who ordered yearbooks, those came home with your child today. We will sign yearbooks on Tuesday so if your child would like their yearbook signed please send it to school with them on Tuesday and make sure to label it with their name. Friday, May 3rd We would like to invite you to walk/ bike to school on Friday, May 3rd. You can walk/bike with your parents or you can join the Tritt Staff at the following spots: · Mrs. Ilene Smith and Mrs. Lupiani at the Walden Lane entrance of Chimney Springs. · Mrs. Wall & Mrs. Love at the first entrance to Revere Circle NE and Chimney Springs Dr. NE (Entrance closest to Tritt) · Mrs. Smarr & Mrs. McFerrin at the Chimney Springs Clubhouse. · Mr. Theriault & Volunteer Parents at the YMCA. · Mrs. Kappel and Dr. Swift at the Walden Estates Dr. Cul-de-Sac. · If you want to ride your bike: meet Mr. Guinta and Mrs. LaVelle at the YMCA. Kindergarten students riding a bike to school MUST be accompanied by an adult parent bike rider. o Parent bikers are welcome to assist Mr. Guinta and Mrs. LaVelle at the YMCA. All bikers will meet at 6:45; all walkers will meet at each spot at 6:55. Please come walk or bike to school! 1 mile of walking = 2/3 of the daily recommended 60 minutes of physical activity WOW! We had an AMAZING turnout for Walk to School Day with a total of 19 students from our class walking and biking to school! Thank you for participating. All books are due back to the LLC by Thursday, May 9th. Please return all library books this week. We are looking forward to a fun Field Day this Friday from 9:00 - 11:00. Please be sure to have your child wear tennis shoes and apply sunscreen at home before coming to school on Friday. There will be a Kona Ice truck for all of the students on Field Day. Please let me know if your child has an allergy and cannot have Kona Ice. You are welcome to send an alternative if preferred.

If your child is bringing a lunch from home, please pack all food and drink in disposable containers. They will have to throw everything away after eating.
