Report Cards go "live" today Friday, January 11th. Please remember you must now log into ParentVue to access your child's report card. If your child will be attending FAST classes this semester, please send a note on the first day of class, including how they will go home after the class. It's also very helpful if you remind your child that they have FAST class on the day of their class.

Please have your child dress appropriately for the ballet. We will eat lunch when we return so if you're planning on joining your child for lunch next week, please don't plan on Monday as we may be eating later than usual.

Then they used their research to write an informational book on their self-selected topic. Be sure to ask your child about their book! Science - Physical Attributes of Stars (size and brightness) Upcoming Dates to Remember: December 3 Field Trip to the Ballet December 20 - 21 Early Release December 24 - January 7 Winter Break As we celebrate Thanksgiving next week, I want to let you know how very thankful I am for the privilege to be your child's teacher and to have such supportive parents. I recognize that not everyone gets to come to work every day to twenty-five smiling faces, inquisitive minds, and the special humor that only a 2nd grader can have. Wishing you and yours a week filled with family, rest, fun, and gratitude.
We will be going to see The Nutcracker ballet performance on December 3rd. Your child's Performing Arts permission slip is your permission for this field trip. Your child has a blue index card listing their lexile. Students should be reading books within the range on their card. Using this as a guide helps ensure that your child is comprehending the books that they choose to read. On Thursday we had a fun time seeing Force and Motion in action at Xdrenaline. Be sure to ask your child about the STEM challenges they experienced after jumping. Thanks to our chaperones for helping us out on Thursday! This upcoming week we have a guest speaker and Guidance with Mrs. Grindstaff.
Food Drive - We are still collecting food to donate to those in need. Thank you for helping us reach our class goal of 100 items! Items will be delivered next week so please send any additional donations to school by Wednesday. We would like to invite them to join us in a celebration program in their honor on November 12th from 8:15am-9:00am. You will hear from our Boy Scouts, Tritt Tiger Chorus, and a Keynote Speaker! We are looking forward to thanking the Veteran’s for their service. If your Veteran is able to join us, we ask that you fill out this online RSVP to ensure we have enough space set up for all of our guests. There will be a light breakfast following the program. In addition, we are compiling a picture slideshow of all Veterans represented at Tritt Elementary. If you have a picture of a Veteran, whether they are able to attend our event or not, please send it to [email protected]. Please note in your email who is in the picture, their branch of service, and their relationship to Tritt Elementary. For example, Commander Jonathan Ford, Navy, Father of Griffin and Rachel Ford.
