I am completely overwhelmed by our class's fundraising efforts and donations! Our class met 7 goals! Many thanks to all of you and your children. We had so much fun having Game Day and PJ Day today. Our special surprise treat was hot chocolate - perfect for this cold, rainy day. We are looking forward to Costume Day next Wednesday. I will let you know the Electronics Day date once it is set. I'm using funds that you raised for new books and seating for our Reading Corner, teacher resources, and educational games.

Please remember that there is early dismissal every day next week, and there are no FAST classes. If your child's transportation is changing due to early release, please write a note and explain the change to your child so that they are aware of how they go home that day. Due to the shortened day, our lunch and Specials times are different and shorter so I recommend not trying to join your child for lunch next week. The ILC has been transformed into an Enchanted Forest for the Book Fair! Our class will preview the Book Fair first thing on Monday morning.
The class voted on our team name for the Tritt-Mazing Race...We are the Waters Water Dragons! We are in the process of brainstorming ideas for our Team sign. We had a lot of fun on Friday with our Science experiment making Coke Floats where we investigated how states of matter change.
This coming week we will have our first Guidance lesson with our amazing counselor, Mrs. Grindstaff. Please note that on Wednesday we have Early Release so please send in a transportation note if your child will go home a different way. Our classroom is very chilly! You may want to keep a sweater or jacket in your child's backpack on a daily basis if they have been cold. I wear a jacket most days when we are in our room.
