Today we listened to the story of "The Nutcracker" to prepare for our field trip to the ballet on Monday. Please have your child dress appropriately for the ballet. We will eat lunch when we return so if you're planning on joining your child for lunch next week, please don't plan on Monday as we may be eating later than usual.
Here's a look at what we're learning next week: Math - Measurement Word Problems and Length Line Plots (inches and feet) Reading & Language Arts - Rhythm and Meaning (poems, songs, stories) Apostrophes and Possessives Spelling - Unit 15 Variant Vowel /oo/ words Words: brook, push, pull, bush, look, full, bully, bookshop, seagull Spelling Test on Friday Writing - Informational Text Students choose a topic and researched it in the ILC on Monday. Then they used their research to write an informational book on their self-selected topic. Be sure to ask your child about their book!
